Can a Muslim marry someone from another faith? If not, is this prohibition in the 'Not Recommended' category or in the 'Forbidden' category? Is the rule the same for men and women? If not, why not? Do Muslims believe that children can be raised under multiple religious traditions?

  1. hi every one, amuslim can not marry some one from another faith,it is forbidden , this matter with women , but with men it is not recommended, i think that because if woman married from some one with another faith the children will be un muslims like their fathers, and the childern will suffer from diffrent traditions, because islam has espcial teaching and obligations diffrent about another religious. thank you

  2. Muslim man can marry any woman from another religion like Christianity and Judaism, but Muslim women can not marry a man from another religion, because the Muslim believes originally heavenly of Judaism and also of Christianity, el Sheikh Alshaarawy answered this when one individual asking him why are the Muslim woman can not marry a Christian man? He replied "if you confess to our religion then you can marry Muslim women. But in Islam it is better for the Muslim man to marry from a Muslim woman
