In Central Asia, a lot of Islam is mixed with Shamanistic activities like Black Magic, making wishes, Fertility Rituals and Saint Worship. Do any of these things happen in Egypt? Do Egyptians believe in Jinn or spirits? Are these things part of Islam or non-Islamic?

  1. First, Islam is not mixed with Shamanistic activities. All these activities are forbidden in Islam. Faith in the existence of the soul and the jinn are a part of Islam. The Bad things which done with helping of Jinn or spirits are also forbidden.

  2. our prophet told us that Muslims will be many groups, specifically 73 group and only one group is the true one. it will enter the paradise and the other groups will go to hell. i think what you saw may be one of these groups.

  3. our prophet told us that Muslims will be 73 group. only one of them will apply the true Islam and the others will be far away from Islam. he specified the characteristics of this group. i believe that what you saw don't belong to that group.
