My Saudi students did not like to make predictions during reading comprehension activities in English class. They said it was against their religion. Why did they say this?

  1. I really dont know why they said this. I lived in Saudi for 8 years and never met anyone say this strange thing. Prohibited predictions in Islam are when you say: I know exactly what will happen tomorrow or even the next hour. That is prohibited because only Allah knows what will happen and not any person on earth can know that. But predictions during reading is something connected with education. So it is against Islam because education is a very important thing in Islam. Islam doesnt prohibit predictions or expect what will happen and the simple example of this is the weather. No one says predicting the weather is against Islam.
What is prohibited is only saying I know exactly what will happen or I have a strong power or a special science that tells me what will happen. This is prohibited.
